DJ Dooby a.k.a. Funkdooby is a sure shot party rocker with more than 20 years experience. He is known for his turntable skillz and his open minded funky sets, which made him the favourite dj of the crowds in many clubs in Germany and Switzerland.
Born in Dresden, he started as a pioneer of the early 90’s east german hip-hop scene, playing numerous famous clubs and festivals and alongside some great names throughout the years. Besides playing in clubs, he promoted own parties, got involved in several music projects and toured with the Funk band EASY TUNES. Dooby’s sets represent a caleidoscope of urban club music: Oldschool Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, Breaks, Reggae, Dancehall, Latin, Electro and even Dubstep and Drum&Bass.
He is famous for his wicked mash-ups and remixes, which he very often mixes live. Together with Frankfurt’s vdj Stupid Deep he teames up as High Fidelity Sound System, where they focus on breaks, beats Headz, Trip-Hop and Dub sound and have benn hosting their own radio show calles BLUE HOUR.
